UK SDMAG

The UKSDMAG is a not for profit company operating under charter. Its purpose is to provide support, qualification and training for those working in the martial arts industry. At its core are the procedures for qualification, criminality checking and adequate insurance to operate as a professional self defence or martial arts instructor. Entry level membership is free to practicing martial arts and self defence instructors.

All instructors must have the relevant qualification to instruct, adequate public liability insurance, adequate policies and procedures to protect students. They must also have Child Protection Policies and training where they are dealing with children. Martial Arts and Self Defence Instructors endorsed by the UK SDMAG are also required to have a current DBS (CRB) certificate and clearance.
